If you have tools you’d like to donate to the VTL, please read the following: 
It’s true that the VTL heavily relies on donated tools, and over the years we have accumulated a great selection of tools. But, if you’ve got a tool to give away that we already have multiples of, your donation might be better suited somewhere else!

WHAT TO DO: To ensure sustainability and the most effective tool usage in our shop, please fill out our online Tool Donation form and one of our volunteers will get back to you on the next steps to take.

WHAT NOT TO DO: Please don’t drop off tools without giving us notice. And most importantly, please do NOT dump tools on our doorstep – our volunteers may not be equipped to relocate them safely indoors, and it may cost us money to dispose of items we cannot use. And, being mindful of our neighbourhood, leaving items on the sidewalk outside our shop is an eyesore and potentially a safety hazard for community members passing by. 

IN SUMMARY: Please be respectful of all of us at the VTL and our neighbours – contact us in advance and arrange for a safe tool donation.
