July is Amnesty Month

July is Amnesty Month at the VTL

VTL celebrates its 15th anniversary by offering amnesty* during month of July!

We want you to come back! And we’ll happily wipe out any overdue fines during the month of July to make it happen.

What does this mean?

Bring your overdue tools back to the VTL during the month of July 2026, and you won’t owe any overdue fines you might have accumulated. When you bring the tools to the front desk, just mention Amnesty Month to the volunteer on shift, and they’ll wipe out any fines on your account. Easy peasy!

Forgot to return a pressure washer borrowed in 2020? Found a buried VTL ladder in your backyard recently? Have any other VTL tools lying around collecting dust? Cordless nailer? Miter saw? Bring them back during July; get amnesty!

Amnesty month doesn’t directly apply to lost tools, but if you have lost a borrowed tool, please come talk to us at the front desk and we’ll work something out. We want you back!

We hope to see you (and any overdue borrowed tools) soon!

PS: If you aren’t sure whether you’ve got any tools on loan, give us a call and we’ll check our system. Amnesty Month for the win!

*Amnesty refers to a (usually government or legal) program which forgives past offenses, effectively wiping the slate clean and preventing future prosecution. In this case, it means that if you bring your borrowed tools back this month, we’ll erase your overdue fines from your membership account. Yay!
