Things are taking shape in the shop!

It’s been a busy month at 3448 Commercial Street, and the shop has really taken shape since we opened it up to you all on April 30th. We’ve been charting our progress since then… check out some of the photos taken over the past couple weeks!

The day we got the keys – a big clean up day to get ready for our Nuts and Bolts event…

After the event, our work got a bit more serious. The floors really needed some TLC. We scraped old tile, leveled the entrance area…

Applied the floor epoxy, and waited for it to dry (patience!)…

Floor finished, we’ve moved on to assembling and, even more exciting, filling the shelves.

Pretty exciting… we’re almost there! Of course, we couldn’t do this without all the support we’ve been getting from other organizations and individuals. A huge thanks goes out to The Society Promoting Environmental Conservation for generously donating a number of unused shelves to our shop. And all the tools you see in these photos have been donated by members of the public so a huge hats off to them as well!
